Your Fault: London stars Asha Banks and Matthew Broome shared intriguing details about filming a step-sibling intimate scene.
During Prime Video’s Obsessed Fest on Saturday, June 27, the actors spoke about the challenges of filming such scenes. Broome, 25, described the experience as “uncomfortable,” noting, “You’re there with an actor in silence, surrounded by people with shuffling feet and costumes that squeak.”
Broome also mentioned the awkwardness of moving to “a nonexistent beat.”
“It’s so uncomfortable,” he added with a laugh.
Banks, 22, shared that during production, she and Broome frequently listened to Addison Rae‘s latest album. Their fondness for the song “Fame Is a Gun” led to it becoming the backdrop for the notable scene between Nick (Broome) and Noah (Banks).
“We played it while filming the scene,” Banks said. “We’re such big theater fans, so we choreographed our movements to the beat. Eventually, they managed to incorporate it into the film.”
Based on Mercedes Ron‘s novel Culpa Mía, My Fault follows the story of Noah as she relocates after her mother’s remarriage.
In the first film, 17-year-old Noah faces tension with her stepbrother, Nick. Their initial animosity evolves into a romance that spans three films.
Prime Video initially launched a Spanish version in 2023, featuring Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara as leads. Banks and Broome lead the English adaptation, with My Fault and Your Fault now available for streaming — Our Fault: London is set for release soon.
Upon reading the ending of Your Fault: London, Banks remarked, “It was chaos. We thought, ‘Twitter is about to explode.’ But that was part of the thrill.”
Banks eagerly anticipates how the third film will tackle Nick and Noah’s romance post-arrest.
“We were deeply connected to our characters, spending a lot of time understanding their choices and supporting them,” Banks noted. “We constantly debated about it. We’re excited to witness the reactions and the chaos it created.”
