Google Pixel Phones to Get Call Recording Feature Upgrade

If recent reports are to be believed, Google Pixel phone users could be in for a major upgrade. According to Android Authority, Google is rolling out a new feature that allows you to record phone calls directly through the native Phone app. This feature is expected to be available on the Google Pixel 6 series and later models. If your Pixel phone was released in October 2021 or later, you are eligible to use this new feature.

The recording feature can be accessed within the settings of Google’s Phone app. Users will now have the option to choose whether to record all calls, including those from unknown numbers, or only calls from selected contacts. Additionally, users can activate the recording feature during an ongoing call, with both parties being notified that the call is being recorded. For more information on how to use the recording feature, you can refer to Google’s support page.

It is important to note that in order to use this feature, your Pixel phone must be a Pixel 6 or a later model, running on Android 14 or a newer version of Google’s operating system, and you must have the latest version of the Google Phone app installed on your device.

While the feature is initially rolling out to Pixel phones, it may not be exclusive to Pixel devices. If you use Google’s Phone app, which is available for download on all Android phones via the Play Store, you should also be able to access the call recording functionality. If you do not see the feature on your device yet, Android Authority suggests downloading the November Pixel Drop update to enable the call recording feature.

Whether you have a Pixel 6 series phone or another Android device with the Google Phone app, this feature will enhance your phone call experience. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new feature.
