Summary

  • Image suggests iPhone 17 Pro may change color from Cosmic Orange to a soft pink
  • Details surrounding the image remain unclear
  • Questionable images of an orange Galaxy S26 Ultra have also surfaced

An image has emerged online implying that some iPhone 17 Pro phones could be changing color from Cosmic Orange to a subtle pink hue.

The leaker known as The Galox shared an image via X showcasing two iPhone 17 Pro Max devices positioned side by side.

The device on the left appears to showcase the striking orange that many reviewers have been praising. In contrast, the right-hand device exhibits a seemingly different shade.

Indeed, the coloration of Apple’s new camera ā€œplateauā€ and the aluminum frame appears to have shifted towards a rosy pink, suggesting a change from the original color.

It’s crucial to note that there’s no context provided for this image. We don’t know if any substance has been applied to the iPhone to alter its appearance or if it merely represents a defective unit fresh out of the packaging.

The image seems to have originated from a Reddit thread, where the original poster, DakAttack316, asserts, ā€œMy Orange 17 iPhone Pro Max turned Rose Gold.ā€

Hoping Samsung Takes Note

We’ll be vigilant for more reports like this; however, a recent rumor regarding a potential Cosmic Orange Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra color option highlights the importance of skepticism towards such claims.

Initially, it seems to suggest that Samsung might be emulating Apple’s design direction with a burnt orange shade for its new flagship. This wouldn’t be unprecedented.

Nevertheless, reputable leaker OnLeaks has weighed in, suggesting these images could likely be AI-generated.

We wouldn’t mind Samsung introducing such a bold color option with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, reminiscent of the stunning copper hue from the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

As long as it’s intentional, we’d welcome a rose gold variant of the Galaxy S26 Ultra too.
