Zendaya humorously addressed the speculation surrounding her and Tom Holland‘s alleged secret wedding.
During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, March 16, the 29-year-old Drama actress neither confirmed nor denied the rumors of her marriage to Holland, who is also 29. Host Jimmy Kimmel noted the internet frenzy over the possibility that she “might actually be married to Tom.”
With a laugh, Zendaya responded, “Really? I haven’t seen any of that.”
Kimmel inquired whether any of their loved ones were deceived by AI-generated wedding photos circulating on social media amidst the rumors.
“Many people have been fooled by them while I was just out and about in real life,” she noted. “People are like, ‘Oh, my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous!’ I was like, ‘Babe, they’re AI! They’re not real!'”
To dispel the rumors, Zendaya presented a humorous video. It featured a wedding scene from her upcoming movie The Drama, with Holland’s face awkwardly edited over her co-star Robert Pattinson.
“It was a beautiful day … That was real footage,” she quipped. “That was real! I was there.”
Earlier in the month, Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, stirred up buzz by asserting that the Euphoria star and Holland had wed in secret.
“The wedding has already happened,” Roach, 47, told Access Hollywood at the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1. “You missed it.”
When pressed for clarification, Roach affirmed, “It’s very true.”
Zendaya’s mother, Claire Stoermer, further fueled speculation by sharing a clip of Roach’s interview on her Instagram Story, captioning it with, “The laugh …” and a laughing emoji.
During several high-profile events, including Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week show on March 10 and the 2026 Oscars on March 15, Zendaya was seen wearing what seemed to be a slim gold wedding band on her ring finger.
At the Academy Awards, Roach reiterated his comments about Zendaya and Holland’s evolving relationship status.
“So she’s married?” Extra correspondent Terri Seymour asked on the red carpet. Roach replied, “I said what I said.”
Zendaya and Holland, who starred as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson and Peter Parker in the 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming, were rumored to be dating that year, although both were linked to other people later.
In July 2021, they confirmed their relationship when they were spotted kissing in Los Angeles. Since then, they’ve kept their relationship mostly private.
Engagement rumors surfaced in January 2025 when Zendaya wore a diamond ring at the Golden Globes, and Us Weekly confirmed their engagement.
“Tom figured the holidays were the best time to propose in a very low-key way,” a source told Us. “She didn’t want anything over the top.”
The insider explained that Holland proposed because he felt it was “the right time” for him to settle down.
“They had many conversations over the years, but there was never any pressure,” the source added. “Zendaya is giddy and excited. She knew it might have been coming but never put pressure on it.”
As the couple looks to the future, another insider revealed to Us that Zendaya and Holland are aligned on having children and starting a family together.
The source mentioned that the frequent co-stars might plan to become parents sooner rather than later, describing Holland as a “very old-school English guy” who desires to have a family at a relatively young age.
