HoYoverse recently unveiled the upcoming agent for Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 update through their drip marketing campaign on November 15, 2025. The new agent, Zhao, is a rabbit Thiren and a member of the Krampus Compliance Authority, a faction affiliated with the powerful TOPS Alliance in New Eridu. Zhao was previously hinted at in the “A Moment’s Light” teaser alongside Banyue and Dialyn, who are set to join the playable roster in the version 2.4 update.
Zhao’s character has been described as someone who enjoys Dennies, making it challenging for clients to negotiate deals with her. The drip marketing campaign also shared some NPC dialogues that shed light on Zhao’s personality. Dialyn, another member of the Krampus Compliance Authority, jokingly referred to Zhao as “The Unbeaten Legend” with a one-track mind, poking fun at her bunny ears.
One amusing anecdote revealed how Zhao’s unique food preferences left a Yum Cha Sin intern puzzled, showcasing her quirky nature. Despite her eccentricities, Zhao is known to drive a hard bargain and set high prices for her services, as shared by her client Damian Blackwood.
Zhao is set to make her debut in the Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 update, with her banner likely to be available in Phase 1 of the patch. While the exact release date is yet to be announced, the update is anticipated to roll out around December 31, 2025, following the conclusion of Banyue’s banner from version 2.4.
