11-day-old Arizona baby found hundreds of miles away after being kidnapped

Authorities have reported the discovery of an 11-day-old baby, found nearly 200 miles from his home in Arizona after being abducted.

The search commenced on Friday night following the kidnapping of the newborn from his residence in Surprise. Lt. Tim Klarkowski disclosed that the suspect is the child’s father, who lacks custodial rights. He allegedly took the infant without permission, according to officials.

Navajo County Sheriff’s deputies stopped the father and his vehicle near Winslow, Arizona, just hours after an urgent “Attempt to Locate” alert was issued, prompting swift action by law enforcement.

The deputies, alongside Arizona State Troopers, established a comprehensive blockade across the northern highways.

On Saturday morning, the deputies identified the target vehicle speeding through the desert near Winslow.

The officers successfully stopped the car and rescued the child unharmed.

“The infant was transported to a medical facility as a precaution and is awaiting reunification with his mother. We appreciate the assistance of Arizona DPS and are grateful this incident had a safe outcome,” the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office stated in a social media post.

Authorities are still in the process of finalizing formal charges as the investigation continues.

“Surprise Police detectives were able to intervene and worked diligently through the night. By investigating this case diligently and thoroughly, and communicating with other agencies, the child was located safely,” Klarkowski told Fox News.
