Tragic Shooting Incident in Queens Apartment Building
A heartbreaking incident occurred in a Queens apartment building when a 14-year-old boy was fatally shot in the head on Wednesday afternoon, as reported by the police.
Emergency services responded to the Norman Towers complex in Jamaica around 5 p.m., where the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the NYPD.
Authorities recovered a firearm inside the building in connection with the incident.
Reports suggest that the teenager was in his family’s apartment with friends when the gun accidentally discharged, leading to the tragic outcome. One of the friends remained at the scene to cooperate with the police upon their arrival.
Upon returning home from work, the victim’s parents were devastated to find their son had passed away.
The victim’s mother, a registered nurse, expressed her grief, saying, “I save people every day, but I couldn’t save my own son. I don’t know why God would do this to me. He was a beautiful boy.”

Neighbors indicated that one of the victim’s friends may have been the owner of the gun. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
