Seoul:

Tragic news emerged from Seoul as South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron was discovered deceased in her residence on Sunday, as confirmed by the authorities.

The police official stated, “She was found deceased with no indication of foul play,” declining to provide further details.

At the young age of 24, Kim Sae-ron’s sudden passing has shocked many in the entertainment industry.

Reportedly, a close friend found Kim Sae-ron at her home on Sunday evening and promptly alerted the authorities, according to Yonhap news agency.

Kim Sae-ron gained recognition for her role in the acclaimed 2010 movie “The Man from Nowhere”, where she portrayed a kidnapped child rescued by a former special forces agent.

Her exceptional performance in the film earned her the prestigious best new actress award at the Korean Film Awards.

Throughout her career, Kim Sae-ron showcased her versatility through a variety of acting roles and garnered multiple film accolades.

However, her career faced a setback following a drunk-driving incident in 2022, resulting in a fine of 20 million won ($13,800).

Subsequently, she encountered difficulties securing new roles amidst negative public perception following the incident.
