As autumn unfolds, Hulu customers are reaping the rewards of a diverse lineup featuring fresh and popular series from both ABC and Fox.
Among the shows benefitting from this streaming surge is ABC’s High Potential, closely followed by Fox’s Murder in a Small Town, which is quickly climbing the ranks in popularity.
This latter show is Watch With Us‘s primary recommendation for Hulu movies and series to enjoy this weekend.
Our other selections feature an original horror movie from Hulu and a classic Marvel film.
‘Murder in a Small Town’ (2025)
Murder in a Small Town is a detective series from Canada airing on Fox and shows impressive viewership on Hulu this week. Starring Rossif Sutherland as Karl Alberg, the new police chief in Gibsons, this man escapes city life only to get wrapped up in local mysteries. He quickly finds romance with a local, Cassandra Lee (Kristin Kreuk), but there are ongoing challenges as new murders emerge.
The arrival of Season 2 brings relationship strains, as Cassandra’s recent election to the city council lets Mayor Christine Holman (Marcia Gay Harden) exploit their differences. Additionally, Karl’s former colleague, Laila Jackson (Bethany Brown), now part of the Gibsons force, will be critical as his responsibilities broaden.
Murder in a Small Town is available for streaming on Hulu.
‘Stay’ (2025)
In Stay, Kiara (Megalyn Echikunwoke) and Miles (Mo McRae) find their crumbling marriage facing the supernatural when they get trapped in their own home. As they cry for help to the outside world, their house appears abandoned.
In horror films, events typically occur for a reason, and Miles and Kira must unravel why they have been ensnared. This journey may compel them to reassess the decline of their once-vibrant relationship, as the love they shared could be their key to escape.
Stay is available for streaming on Hulu.
‘Blade’ (1998)
While Blade might have taken a backseat to subsequent superhero films, it was the groundbreaking Marvel title that first resonated at the box office. This film potentially paved the way for the legendary X-Men and Spider-Man franchises. Wesley Snipes delivers a stellar performance as Blade, a hybrid of human and vampire boasting the strengths of both species.
Dr. Karen Jenson (N’Bushe Wright) enters Blade’s realm after being bitten herself, and she may hold the key to curing both herself and Blade from their vampiric afflictions. Yet, Blade remains focused on hunting down Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff), a fearsome vampire with a sinister agenda to dominate humanity.
Blade is available for streaming on Hulu.
