A $30,000 Reward Offered for Whereabouts of Alleged Anti-Israel Arsonist
A $30,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of Jakhi Lodgson-McCray, the suspect accused of setting fire to nearly a dozen NYPD cars in Brooklyn, causing $800,000 in damages earlier this month.
Lodgson-McCray, a 21-year-old who has been arrested multiple times at protests, allegedly set fire to 11 police cars in a Bushwick parking lot on June 12 and has since disappeared, according to authorities.
The NYPD Crime Stoppers, US Marshals, and ATF are offering the reward for Lodgson-McCray’s arrest and conviction, as announced by the NYPD.
Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny stated that Lodgson-McCray is believed to be actively involved in the protest community, particularly in the Free Palestine movement, based on his social media activity.
Authorities have video footage showing Lodgson-McCray acting alone before and after the arson incident, changing his clothing several times to evade identification.
“We believe that he acted alone and targeted this location because it is a police facility,” Kenny said.

Lodgson-McCray has a history of arrests at protests, including a recent incident at an anti-ICE protest where he was charged with resisting arrest. He has also been detained at anti-Israel demonstrations in the past.
Police are urging anyone with information on Lodgson-McCray’s whereabouts to contact @NYPDTips or call 1-800-577-TIPS.
