Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of the individuals responsible for a tragic mass shooting that occurred at a house party in Gage Park earlier this month. The shooting resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left five others injured. The victims, believed to be migrants, were between the ages of 20 and 35.

The incident took place on December 2nd at approximately 2:10 p.m. in the 3500 block of West 59th Street. Responding officers found eight individuals who had been shot – four men and four women. Tragically, three of the men succumbed to their injuries. They were identified as Jon Carlos Blancarcer, 28, Hector Sajo, 26, and Osmer Angel Ferrer Oria, 32.

Reports from neighbors indicated that the residents of the home where the shooting occurred were migrants. However, CPD Deputy Chief Jon Hein declined to confirm this information during a press conference following the incident. It was mentioned that the police had been summoned to the residence for previous issues, although specifics were not provided. Locals mentioned that the house frequently hosted parties, with loud music and gatherings being a common occurrence.

According to witnesses, the gathering at the residence was a birthday party featuring a well-known DJ from Venezuela. In an effort to solve the case, Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that can aid in the investigation. The reward is available for tipsters who provide information anonymously and is valid for 60 days.

Individuals with valuable information can contact the organization through the anonymous tip line at 1-800-535-STOP. Alternatively, tips can be emailed to TIPS@cookcountycrimestoppers.org or provided to CPD’s hotline at 833-408-0069.
