The Brown Palace in Denver dazzled guests at its 36th annual Champagne Cascade event held on November 10, 2024. The elegant lobby was transformed into a spectacle as two master swordsmen expertly used Napoleonic sabers to open four magnums of Moet & Chandon champagne. The bubbly liquid flowed into a two-story, 5,201-glass pyramid, creating a stunning display for attendees to enjoy.

Attendees this year had the chance to participate in an auction to be selected as the ones pouring the champagne into the glasses. Two generous bidders contributed a total of $29,000, which was donated to St. Joseph’s Hospital. The 2024 Champagne Cascade event supported Intermountain Health Saint Joseph Hospital, a non-profit institution with a rich history of providing high-quality care since its founding by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth in 1873.

Over hundreds of guests gathered at the event, witnessing the grandeur from multiple floors of the hotel. The Cascade marked the unveiling of the lobby’s seasonal decor, meticulously set up by a dedicated team of 20 individuals. The decorations included a massive 25×25-foot chandelier, 250,000 crystal beads, over 60,000 LED lights, 500 pounds of glitter, and 4,800 ornaments. It took the team more than 7 hours to assemble the impressive glass pyramid centerpiece.
