The second round of the 2025 John Deere Classic has come to a close, with the tournament’s cut line set at 5-under. Unfortunately, some big names in the world of golf will not be advancing to the weekend rounds, including 13-time PGA Tour winner Jason Day.
The John Deere Classic teed off on Thursday, July 3, at TPC Deere Run. Last year’s champion, Davis Thompson, is also in the field this year and is currently in contention for the title, sitting at T2 on the provisional leaderboard after making the cut.

One-time major champion Jason Day made his 13th PGA Tour start of the season at the John Deere Classic. Despite scoring 2-under 140 after the first two rounds, he missed the cut by three strokes.
