Authorities reported that a stabbing incident at Penn Station on Sunday evening resulted in five people being injured.
The attack started shortly after 7 p.m. at the busy Midtown transit hub, as confirmed by the FDNY.
All five victims were transported to Bellevue Hospital. According to fire officials, one individual sustained serious injuries, two had moderate injuries, and the remaining two suffered minor injuries.
Authorities have detained a suspect, who remains unidentified. According to sources, the individual may be emotionally disturbed.

A social media post showed police officers restraining a person on the station floor.
The user who shared the image wrote, “This guy stabbed somebody in Penn Station,” adding, “People were flooding out of the station.”
