50 Cent has taken the field once again, attempting to rewrite his notorious legacy from 2014—a moment forever etched in baseball infamy—by delivering a new first pitch at a Savannah Bananas game while introducing a drink that pays homage to the team.
The rapper graced the sold-out crowd at Daikin Park in Houston, Texas, over the weekend, not only with his presence but also by performing his classic hit, “In Da Club.”
After successfully revving up the audience, 50 Cent stepped up to throw the first pitch against the Texas Tailgaters, and surprisingly, it appeared as if he had acquired some pitching prowess since his last attempt.
The pitch was commendable this time around, sparing all nearby cameramen from diving out of the way.
Let’s not forget, 50 Cent holds the dubious title of having thrown the worst first pitch in MLB history, which occurred at Citi Field in New York City back in May 2014 when he sent a wild left-handed throw into the stands.
His revival also included the launch of a new drink, the Branson Banana Blast— a tribute to the Savannah Bananas, making it clear he was not just aiming for the sports field but also the beverage market.
In a delightful twist, 50 Cent’s Branson Cognac is now officially endorsed as the spirits of the team, melding sports and spirits into a branding match made in heaven.
