WASHINGTON, DC – In a significant move to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into education, more than 60 organizations have signed the White House’s Pledge to America’s Youth: Investing in AI Education. This initiative supports President Trump’s executive order aimed at enhancing AI education for America’s youth.
The organizations have committed to providing resources for students and teachers over the next four years. This will include funding, grants, educational materials, curricula, technology, tools, teacher professional development programs, workforce development resources, and mentorship. Collaborating with the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education, this pledge aims to make AI education accessible for K-12 students nationwide, igniting their curiosity about technology and preparing them for a future dominated by AI.
“Nurturing interest and expertise in artificial intelligence among young people is essential for sustaining American technological leadership. The initial commitments from various organizations will create new educational and workforce development opportunities for our students. We encourage additional organizations to join this pledge as we work to introduce more of America’s youth to AI,” stated Michael Kratsios, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and Chair of the White House Task Force on AI Education.
“We are excited that so many organizations have embraced the Pledge to America’s Youth. The enthusiasm surrounding AI and its responsible application in education is palpable. The resources pledged through this initiative will empower teachers and learners to effectively utilize AI in classrooms and communities throughout the nation,” remarked Secretary of Education Linda McMahon.
“AI is transforming our economy and reshaping our daily lives, so it’s imperative that the next generation of American workers is equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in this new environment,” emphasized Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer. “By rallying around this pledge to provide essential resources for students and educators, it’s heartening to see these organizations dedicated to fostering AI literacy and innovation among young Americans, empowering them to become tomorrow’s leaders.”
“To secure America’s future, we must excel in the AI arena,” asserted U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright. “President Trump’s commitment to investing in the next generation of American innovators is crucial. By equipping students and teachers with the necessary tools to excel in this emerging industry, we are poised to maintain our edge on the global stage.”
“The U.S. National Science Foundation proudly supports the White House’s Pledge to America’s Youth: Investing in AI Education. Providing young people with the knowledge to understand and shape artificial intelligence is not just vital for national competitiveness—it’s an investment in a more innovative and informed future,” stated Brian Stone, acting NSF director. “NSF has long recognized the significance of fostering early interest in science and technology. Through our ongoing commitment to fund pioneering research, support teacher development, and enhance STEM education access nationwide, we aim to ensure that all students can engage with and contribute to the future of AI. We commend the organizations that have joined this pledge and look forward to collaborating to deliver resources that inspire the next generation of AI innovators and technology leaders.”
“President Trump is ushering in a new era of prosperity by leveraging America’s finest tools and innovations. At USDA, we are dedicated to providing students with the opportunities and mentorship necessary to uphold the tradition of American ingenuity. Our initiatives include targeted training and grant opportunities that encourage the integration of AI in agriculture. Under President Trump’s leadership, this task force is empowering educators to incorporate artificial intelligence into their curricula, preparing students for the future,” said U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L.
