An elderly woman, aged 99, collided with an 80-year-old bicyclist in New Jersey, critically injuring him before fleeing the scene, according to authorities.
The incident took place in Helmetta, New Jersey, a small suburb located about 40 miles southwest of New York City, on a Saturday afternoon. The police were alerted and quickly apprehended the unidentified female driver.
Upon arriving at the scene on Main Street, police found the elderly bicyclist, also unidentified, suffering from “serious bodily injuries,” as reported by officials.
