New images have surfaced showcasing the pickup truck adorned with two prominent American flags that crashed into a crowded Latter-day Saints church in Michigan, shortly before a gunman carried out a fatal shooting rampage this past Sunday.

The silver GMC truck was linked to 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford, an Iraq War veteran residing in Burton, Michigan, as reported by The Post.

Photos show Sanford’s Chevrolet Silverado lodged within the brick façade of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, with its truck bed displaying two flags.

Sanford, who was a member of the US Marine Corps, drove into the building before initiating the assault during a service attended by over 100 worshippers.

A close examination of the rear license plate reveals details about Sanford’s service in Iraq.

The violent episode commenced at 10:25 a.m. while hundreds had gathered for services.

Authorities indicated that the driver crashed through the main entrance, exited the vehicle, and opened fire on the attendees.

At least 10 individuals were shot.

Four victims have tragically lost their lives, while one remained in critical condition as of Sunday afternoon.

Several others were hospitalized due to gunshot injuries, according to law enforcement.

The gunman was shot dead following a gunfire exchange with responding police officers.

Additionally, Sanford set fire to the church, resulting in it being completely consumed by flames.

Law enforcement expressed concerns that more victims could be uncovered within the charred remains of the structure.
