A woman in Columbus, Ohio, made headlines after discovering a mysterious rolled-up rug buried in her backyard. Katie Santry, a self-proclaimed “big crime junkie,” shared her eerie find on TikTok, sparking a viral online following of people speculating about the contents of the rug.

In a series of videos, Santry detailed how she and her boyfriend stumbled upon the rug while digging up their lawn to build a fence. The discovery led to wild theories from viewers, with some suggesting it could be a dead body or an animal buried underground. Santry, who was intrigued by the mystery, decided to investigate further.

The situation took a spooky turn when Santry noticed her computer had been shattered a few days after finding the rug. This prompted her to wonder if there was a ghost haunting her new home. As the online speculation grew, Santry posted follow-up videos showing that the rug was buried under a Bloodgood tree, adding to the creepy atmosphere surrounding the discovery.

As more and more people suggested that the rug could be part of a crime scene, Santry eventually contacted the police. Two officers arrived at her home to investigate the strange occurrence but informed her that it would take time to get to the bottom of the mystery. In the meantime, Santry reached out to the previous owners of the house in hopes of uncovering more information about the rug.

Despite her efforts, Santry remained in the dark about the origins of the rug. She expressed her belief that there was no dead body buried beneath it but admitted that the curiosity surrounding the mysterious find continued to haunt her. As the investigation into the rug’s origins continues, Santry remains determined to unravel the secrets hidden in her backyard.
