Kwame Onwuachi Signs with WME for New Ventures

James Beard Award-winning chef, restaurateur, and author Kwame Onwuachi has partnered with the prestigious Hollywood agency WME for representation across all sectors.

New Collaborations with WME

As part of this exciting new collaboration, WME will assist Onwuachi with adapting his memoir, Notes From A Young Black Chef, into a feature film that stars Lakeith Stanfield and is produced by A24. This partnership also aims to broaden his influence in the film and television sectors, engaging both scripted and non-scripted formats.

A Culinary Accomplishment

A renowned figure recognized through his participation in Top Chef Season 13, Onwuachi is celebrated for his successful culinary ventures including Tatiana at Lincoln Center—honored as New York’s premier dining establishment by The New York Times for two consecutive years—and Dōgon in Washington, D.C., which is listed as the second-best restaurant by Washingtonian. These establishments have garnered attention, with Dōgon featuring in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2025 Hot List and The New York Times’ Top 50 Restaurants in America for 2025.

Recognized Influence and Contributions

Onwuachi was included in Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2025. His accolades also comprise hosting the prestigious James Beard Awards twice and developing the culinary menu for the renowned 2025 Met Gala. Additionally, he serves as a Lexus Culinary Master, an executive producer at Food & Wine, and judges varied culinary television programs, including notable appearances on Top Chef.

New Restaurant Ventures

On the restaurant front, his recent launches include Patty Palace at Citi Field and at Lincoln Center’s Summer in the City, alongside the grand opening of Timeout Market this month. He also introduced Las’ Lap in Miami and is set to unveil Maroon, a new venue on the West Coast in collaboration with SAHARA Las Vegas later this year.
