The 2026 Cannes Film Festival has concluded, but before attendees graced the Croisette, they first made their stylish debuts on the runway—at Nice Airport.
In recent years, Nice Airport has become an informal showcase for the fashion trends that eventually hit the prestigious red carpet. It offers brand ambassadors an early opportunity to display the latest creations from their respective labels. For instance, last year, Pedro Pascal arrived in Cannes wearing Bottega Veneta’s signature intrecciato weave, while Isabelle Huppert sported Balenciaga’s distinctive oversized sneakers.
This year, airport attire again served as a canvas for subtle brand promotion. Diego Calva touched down in a full Ferragamo pre-fall 2026 ensemble, complete with leather pants that might not be every traveler’s preference. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt, known for her affinity with Gucci, accessorized her Carolina Herrera capri set with a black Jackie bag. Michael Fassbender maintained the trend with a Bottega blouson featuring a more understated intrecciato collar.
Carry-on bags also made a statement at the airport. While larger suitcases often get assistance, the attendees’ carry-ons were noteworthy. Fassbender coordinated his outfit with a maroon Bottega duffle, and Julia Louis Dreyfus opted for a small cross-body bag. Both Huppert and Havana Rose Liu carried Balenciaga City bags. Among those favoring Louis Vuitton, Charles Melton wore a duffle across his chest, and Cate Blanchett chose a subtle, monogrammed suitcase.
Below, the 2026 Cannes Film Festival set the stage with an array of chic airport styles, from Daisy Edgar-Jones’s breezy summer dress to Cate Blanchett’s stylish jumpsuit.
