Summary of Key Features

  • Launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 confirmed
  • Initial availability is limited to select markets
  • Release of the A11+ has faced delays

After an array of rumors and early leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 and A11+ budget tablets are now officially announced, albeit for a limited audience.

The latest addition to Samsung’s budget tablet lineup has made its debut in select countries. Visit the Samsung France newsroom for the official announcement, and you will find a retail listing in the UK. However, there is currently no information on availability in the US market.

The larger model, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+, has experienced a delay and will reportedly not be available until the end of 2025, as per a translation of Samsung’s announcement.

Specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11

Both the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 and A11+ are set to launch in grey and silver. The design borrows elements from popular models like the Galaxy smartphones and the Galaxy Tab S Series, featuring a similar layout for the camera and side buttons.

In terms of display, both tablets boast 90Hz LCD screens—an 8.7-inch display for the A11 and an 11-inch screen for the A11+—coupled with Dolby Atmos sound and a convenient 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Galaxy Tab A11 comes equipped with a 5,100mAh battery, while the larger A11+ features a 7,040mAh cell. Notably, only the A11+ supports 25W fast charging, suggesting that the A11 may offer a standard 15W charging capability.

The A11+ provides a superior storage range of 128GB and 256GB, compared to the A11’s 64GB and 128GB options. Both models support microSD cards up to 2TB for additional storage. Furthermore, RAM is enhanced in the A11+ at 8GB versus 4GB in the A11.

Past leaks have indicated that the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 will likely operate on a MediaTek Helio G99 processor.

Additional Specifications for Samsung Galaxy Tab A11

The increased memory in the Galaxy Tab A11+ enables it to support Samsung’s DeX feature, providing a desktop-like user interface when paired with a compatible monitor.

Both models include a new 5 MP front-facing camera, ideal for selfies and video conferencing. One of the standout features of this tablet series is Samsung’s commitment to providing seven years of OS and security updates—a rarity in the budget tablet market.

As for pricing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 is positioned at a budget-friendly starting price of just ÂŁ149.
