PITCH PERFECT

Top Indian streaming service JioHotstar is set to debut “Pitch to Get Rich,” a groundbreaking fashion entrepreneurship reality show starting on October 20. Produced by Fashion Entrepreneur Fund alongside Dharmatic Entertainment, the series boasts an investment pool of INR40 crore ($4.5 million) aimed at cultivating India’s upcoming fashion entrepreneurs.

Featuring prominent figures from Bollywood such as Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, and Malaika Arora, the judging panel also includes successful business entrepreneurs like Naveen Jindal, Dhruv Sharma, Ravi Jaipuria, Darpan Sanghvi, Gaurav Dalmia, Vagish Pathak, and Vinod Dugar. Fourteen aspiring entrepreneurs will vie for mentorship and funding while confronting authentic business challenges.

“This program transcends mere entertainment; it serves as a driving force that merges fashion, business acumen, and innovation,” stated Apoorva Mehta, CEO of Dharmatic Entertainment.

Sanjay Nigam, founder of the Fashion Entrepreneur Fund, highlighted the series’ goal of promoting the “Make in India” initiative, aiming to provide high-quality entertainment that resonates. This series represents the first major platform uniting India’s entertainment stars with prominent business figures to highlight fashion entrepreneurship.

LINCOLN LAUGHS

Leading the West End debut of “Oh, Mary!” at Trafalgar Theatre starting December 3 will be Mason Alexander Park. This Tony Award-winning dark comedy will run until April 25, 2026.

Written by Tony Award winner Cole Escola and directed by Tony Award winner Sam Pinkleton, the 80-minute one-act play delves into Mary Todd Lincoln‘s life during the critical weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln‘s assassination. The cast includes Park alongside Kate O’Donnell, Oliver Stockley, Dino Fetscher, and Olivier winner Giles Terera.

ASIAN ALLIANCE

NHK has teamed up with Singapore’s Empire of Arkadia and Mocha Chai Laboratories to produce “Lost and Found,” a six-part adventure series aimed at Gen Z viewers worldwide. The show is scheduled to launch in mid-March 2026 on NHK and Mediacorp Singapore, aligning with the two nations’ 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

Taped in both Japanese and English, the series is set against the backdrop of Tokyo and Singapore, featuring Anna Yamada and Shawn Thia as gamers entangled in Tokyo’s shady underbelly filled with scams and trafficking. The project is developed by executive producers Michelle Chang and Fotini Paraskakis in collaboration with TV Man Union.

This partnership marks NHK’s inaugural international scripted collaboration, as the broadcaster embarks on a new strategy to enhance global co-productions. Empire of Arkadia will oversee worldwide distribution.
