Little People, Big World alum Audrey Roloff has responded to criticism following her and her husband Jeremy Roloff‘s decision not to purchase his family’s farm.

“Things my July content didn’t tell you about my July,” Audrey, 35, shared on Instagram on Wednesday, August 5. “I received some extremely harsh messages from people who only understand two percent of the context behind a tough decision we had to make as a family.”

Within her Instagram post, Audrey disclosed that she and Jeremy, 36, ultimately chose not to purchase Roloff Farms when the chance arose earlier this year.

“While we were confident in our choice, it was still a difficult decision,” she explained. “I decided to share this because I know many families face similar situations due to priorities and unforeseen life circumstances. Despite understanding this, I’m still human, and those messages hurt because of their ignorance.”

The Roloff family has been in the public eye for over two decades, first through Little People, Big World, and more recently due to a family dispute regarding the Oregon farm that forms the cornerstone of their business. Matt and Amy Roloff were married from 1987 until 2015. They share twins, Zach and […]

Audrey’s sister-in-law, Isabel Roloff, who resides on the farm with her husband Jacob Roloff, quickly responded to Audrey’s apparent efforts to “save” the property.

“Honestly? It feels incredibly disappointing,” Isabel, 30, expressed on TikTok later on Wednesday. “They have never discussed this with us. We don’t have the funds to ‘save’ it, but we are here every day, taking care of the plants, animals, and the land. At the end of the day, you just need money.”

She added, “It leaves a bad taste in my mouth that they speak as if they could be the saviors when we are here, hoping to find a way to make it work. They never asked if we wanted to work together.”

Audrey has not publicly addressed Isabel’s remarks.

LPBW patriarch Matt Roloff originally acquired the 109-acre farm in Oregon with his then-wife Amy Roloff, who later sold her shares to Matt following their divorce in 2016. In 2022, Matt, 64, put 16 acres up for sale, indicating that his eldest sons, twins Jeremy and Zach Roloff, were not interested in jointly managing the farm operations. (Jacob, 29, and Isabel rent a house on the property, where they assist with the animals and vegetation.)

“Jer’s dad informed the kids that he would list Roloff Farms for sale again,” Audrey wrote on Instagram in March. “It has been on and off the market over the past six years since our attempt to purchase it in 2020. A lot of healing and moving on has occurred since then. We have been busy creating our own dream on the property we acquired a few years after the farm purchase fell through, but after celebrating [our son] Bode’s birthday in the barn last month, we had a ‘what if’ moment.”

At that time, Audrey mentioned that she and Jeremy were conflicted about the opportunity to buy Roloff Farms before ultimately deciding to step back from negotiations.
