This shade is fantastic—PPP consistently excels in their color palettes!
I am captivated by this Roger Viollet portrait of M. Balenciaga from 1927; the photograph’s hues seem to harmonize perfectly with the setting. It is said that he was the only couturier of his time capable of creating a garment entirely on his own. Hamish Bowles even remarked that “Every collection he produced, until the end, featured a little black dress he crafted all by himself.”

Yesterday, while browsing through Balenciaga’s Instagram, I was thrilled to come across the legendary campaign featuring Christy Turlington with illustrations by M/M Paris from 2001. I vividly recall cutting these out of magazines and pasting them on my dorm room walls.
Truly iconic. I have kept them as clippings in my flat files.
