Who is in the cast of Heated Rivalry Season 2?
Connor Storrie and Alex Williams are set to reprise their roles as the main characters in Heated Rivalry Season 2. Williams hinted at their return with an Instagram post last summer, saying, “See you next season?” It is also expected that Christina Chang and Dylan Walsh will come back as Shane’s parents, Yuna and David Hollander, given the importance of their characters in The Long Game.
While François Arnaud (Scott Hunter) and Robbie Graham-Kuntz (Kip Grady) have not been officially confirmed for the new season, their return seems probable. “Not that we weren’t expecting it, but I think we’re all surprised at how popular Scott and Kip were,” commented Rachel Reid in an interview with Variety. “So now it’s, ‘OK, how do you get more Scott and Kip?’”
Additionally, new actors will join the cast. Justice Smith, known for his role in Jane Schoenbrun’s I Saw The TV Glow, has been cast as Harris Drover, a key figure from Reid’s Game Changers series. According to Variety, the upcoming season will also feature Emily Hampshire (Schitt’s Creek), Edvin Ryding (28 Years Later), Robert Naylor (Mile End Kicks), Sabrina Jalees (Black Mirror), and Priyanka (Drag Brunch Saved My Life).

When will Heated Rivalry be released?
The release date for Heated Rivalry Season 2 is yet to be officially announced, but it is anticipated to premiere in spring 2027. Filming is set to begin this month. In a past interview with Entertainment Weekly, Tierney mentioned, “It will not be the same time next year, but it’ll be pretty soon after that. It’s not gonna be two years. It’s not even gonna be 18 months, I don’t think.”
Excitingly, a bonus episode might also be released beforehand. Justin Stockman, vice president of content development and programming at Bell Media, shared with Toronto Star, “We’re going to see what’s feasible. If [Tierney] can find a way to make the source material work in a way that gets us something sooner or something special, I’m sure he will. I would love to have this back for the holidays next year, but that likely is not going to happen. We can’t rush the process. We won’t be able to repeat the magic if we push him.”
