Netflix is set to dive into a thrilling new project, announcing a competition series inspired by the beloved murder mystery board game and film, Clue.

This unscripted show will bring together contestants who take on both physical and mental challenges as they gather clues before embarking on an exhilarating game of investigation and trickery. To emerge victorious, they must outsmart their rivals to pinpoint the perpetrator, the scene of the crime, and the weapon used. Correct guesses will boost their winnings, while incorrect ones could lead to elimination. The series promises to feature iconic characters like Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlett, and Professor Plum.

Produced by Hasbro Entertainment, The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), and B17 Entertainment, “Clue” boasts a talented mix of executive producers, including Gabriel Marano and Zachary Edwin from Hasbro Entertainment, Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman of IPC, and Rhett Bachner and Brien Meagher from B17.

“Like countless families and friends, we’ve gathered around the table over the years, trying to piece together who the culprit is—making ‘Clue’ a nostalgic experience for everyone,” stated Jeff Gaspin, VP of unscripted series at Netflix. “With the amazing vision of our partners at Hasbro Entertainment, IPC, and B17, we’re excited to present a fresh take on competitive whodunits that will invite a new audience into that classic universe.”

This news follows Netflix’s recent acquisition of rights to a competition series based on “Monopoly”, which is described as a large-scale social-experiment contest that will challenge contestants to forge alliances and betray their rivals, staying true to the spirit of the beloved board game.
