Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has boldly chosen to confront Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, only to receive a stark reminder of a pressing issue that he seems keen to avoid discussing.

As many are aware, President Trump’s directive to deploy National Guard troops in some of America’s most crime-afflicted cities, including Chicago, has sparked significant debate. In a striking indication of the peril in Illinois, FBI Director Kash Patel disclosed that a staggering 110,000 gang members are currently active in Chicago—a city that has long been synonymous with corruption and inadequate law enforcement.

This statistic reveals that roughly 4% of Chicago’s 2.7 million residents are involved in gangs, towering over the city’s broader issues with violence and crime.

In a particularly egregious instance highlighting Illinois’ challenges, an illegal Chinese immigrant, benefiting from Pritzker’s lax sanctuary policies, was recently indicted on charges related to operating a human and sex-trafficking ring across state lines. This individual served as both a recruiter and a transporter of victims, profiting from their exploitation.

At this moment, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are facing hostility from far-left activists, while local police in Chicago have been instructed to refrain from intervening to protect these federal officers.

Instead of addressing these critical matters, Pritzker took a jab at Hegseth’s fitness regimen, ironically highlighting his own lack of physical commitment. On social media, he expressed, “Pete Hegseth was busy ignoring his job and doing pushups as part of a show for the Guinness Book of World Records while Illinoisans are being invaded by Trump’s military troops.”

Hegseth responded with biting irony on Wednesday, delivering a stinging critique of Pritzker’s apparent hypocrisy regarding fitness and responsibility. He remarked, “Governor, you might try a pushup or two. In the meantime, our troops will do the job you refuse to do.”

One must wonder if Pritzker is genuinely capable of performing a proper push-up without assistance, given his affinity for casting stones while living in a glass house.
