Mediawan is intensifying its focus on English-speaking markets. With the appointment of former All3Media International executive Sally Habbershaw to spearhead Mediawan’s international distribution and acquisition efforts from London, the company has also onboarded seasoned professionals Dan Selig and Glen Hansen.
Operating out of New York and Los Angeles, Selig and Hansen will partner with Habbershaw to establish a stronger foothold in English-speaking markets while also broadening the company’s content offerings. They will enhance Mediawan’s distribution teams already present in France and Germany.
Selig has been appointed senior VP of distribution for the Americas, and Hansen takes on the role of senior VP of distribution within the APAC region. Their efforts will concentrate on premium content partnerships, format sales, and co-productions specific to the region.

Their vast experience in sales and strategic alliances will be crucial in expanding our reach within the Americas and APAC,” expressed Habbershaw. “They bring remarkable reputations, exceptional editorial insight, strong negotiation skills, and a contagious enthusiasm for the industry,” she added.
Selig recently held the position of senior VP of content sales at Boat Rocker, where he orchestrated sales and distribution strategies in the U.S. and Latin America. Before this, he served as senior VP of sales for the Americas at Fifth Season and accumulated 16 years of experience at HBO.
In a similar vein, Hansen was previously senior VP and head of sales for Asia-Pacific at A+E Global Media for over a decade and also worked with Zodiak Rights (now part of Banijay Rights) prior to that.
With a repertoire of over 80 production labels, including Plan B (U.S., U.K.), See-Saw Films (U.S., Australia), Drama Republic and Misfits (U.K.), Palomar and Our Films (Italy), Leonine Studios (Germany), Boomerang and Good Mood (Spain), Submarine (Netherlands/US), Chapter 2 and Chi-Fou-Mi (France), Mediawan boasts a catalog that exceeds 30,000 hours of programming. This includes successful films like “The Count of Monte Cristo,” the television series “Zorro,” and the animated phenomenon “Miraculous Ladybug,” along with the geopolitical thriller “Kabul.” Upcoming highlights from their slate include Sally Wainwright’s “Riot Women” and Hugo Blick’s “California Avenue,” both from Drama Republic and slated for a feature at Mipcom.
