Fox’s popular baking competition show, “Crime Scene Kitchen,” is back for its third season with some exciting new guest judges. James Beard Award-winning pastry chef and Cronut creator Dominique Ansel, as well as “Animal Control” star Ravi Patel, are set to join the show for upcoming episodes.
“Crime Scene Kitchen” is a unique culinary guessing game where baking duos must decode what type of treat was made in the kitchen based on crumbs, flour trails, and clues left behind. They then have to recreate the recipe for celebrity judges chef Curtis Stone and cake artist Yolanda Gampp, who will determine how closely their sweet treat matches the missing dessert.
Each episode features a safety bake in the first round and concludes with an elimination bake that sends one team home. The winning duo at the end of the season will take home the grand prize of $100,000.
Ravi Patel, known for his role on Fox’s sitcom “Animal Control,” will appear on Episode 6 of Season 3, airing on October 24th, to taste and evaluate the bakes alongside Joel McHale, Curtis Stone, and Yolanda Gampp. Two weeks later, Dominique Ansel will join for Episode 8 on November 14th to set the Safety Bake and share his expert opinion on the results.
In a new twist for Season 3, Fox has divided the competing pairs into family members and friends. This change aims to test out which dynamic works better under pressure in the kitchen – family ties or friendship bonds.
With the addition of these exciting guest judges and the new dynamic of family vs. friends, “Crime Scene Kitchen” promises to be a thrilling and suspenseful season for both contestants and viewers alike.
