“MasterChef” has received a double renewal from Fox, confirming the cooking competition series will continue for its 16th and 17th seasons.

The ever-popular Gordon Ramsey will return to his role as host and judge, alongside fellow judges Joe Bastianich and Tiffany Derry. The show invites talented home cooks to compete for a grand prize of $250,000. Season 15, which aired from May to September, emerged as the leading cooking show of the summer for adults aged 18-49, with an average viewership of 3.5 million across all platforms.

“MasterChef” is based on a format conceptualized by Franc Roddam and is represented globally by Banijay Entertainment. Production is overseen by Banijay Americas’ Endemol Shine North America in collaboration with Gordon Ramsay’s One Potato Two Potato. Ramsay serves as an executive producer alongside Elisabeth Murdoch, Danny Schrader, Gordon Ramsay, Jennifer Fazey, Pat Llewellyn, Ben Adler, and Sharon Levy.

Yasmin Rawji, executive vice president of unscripted at Fox Entertainment, commented, “MasterChef is a flagship series for Fox, consistently bringing back its loyal audience to witness the evolution of amateur cooks into culinary stars. We are excited to see Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich, and Tiffany Derry provide their invaluable culinary insights and mentorship in the upcoming Seasons 16 and 17 of MasterChef.”

Michael Heyerman, executive producer and senior vice president of unscripted original series at Endemol Shine North America, added, “Securing a two-season renewal for Seasons 16 and 17 is fantastic news, reflecting the incredible momentum of MasterChef. Our gratitude goes to Fox for their ongoing support and for encouraging innovative ideas that keep the show engaging and lively. We’ve lined up two fantastic themes for the new seasons that fans will absolutely adore. We’re excited to reunite with Gordon, Joe, and Tiffany, building on the fantastic chemistry and high standards established last season!”
