Just a week after its celebrated return to late-night TV, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” made its way to Brooklyn for a series of shows, maintaining its lead in total viewers as well as among adults aged 18-49.

According to ABC’s reports, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” achieved an average of 2.2 million viewers and a 0.22 rating among adults 18-49 during the week of September 29. This performance positioned it ahead of rivals “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” (1.96 million viewers, 0.13 adults 18-49) and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” (1.09 million viewers, 0.09 adults 18-49).

It is important to note that this is a decline from the exceptionally high numbers from the previous week, which drew significant attention over Kimmel’s return following a suspension by Disney/ABC. On September 23, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” made its comeback with 6.3 million viewers on Tuesday—marking its highest viewership for a regular episode ever. That episode also garnered a striking 0.87 rating amongst adults 18-49, yielding the best demo rating for a regularly scheduled episode since 2015.

This week also marked the seventh occasion on which “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” took its show on the road to Brooklyn since its inception in 2003. The live broadcasts were held at the Howard Gilman Opera House within the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Previously, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” broadcast from Brooklyn during the week of September 26, 2022. Compared to that visit, this year’s shows in Brooklyn showed a 35% increase in total viewers (up from 1.63 million in 2022).

The Brooklyn segment in 2025 also exceeded the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” 2024-2025 season averages, seeing a 42% increase in total viewers (compared to 1.55 million) and a 57% boost in adults 18-49 ratings (from a baseline of 0.14).

The most-watched episode of the week aired on Monday (September 29), featuring guests Ryan Reynolds, Josh Johnson, and musical act Public Enemy, pulling in an average of 2.86 million viewers and a 0.47 rating among adults 18-49.

Additional guests throughout the week included Stephen Colbert, Kumail Nanjiani, and musical guest Reneé Rapp on Tuesday; Emily Blunt, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, musical guest Geese, and Big Daddy Kane with Cleto and the Cletones (Wednesday); Jeremy Allen White, Bruce Springsteen, musical guest Living Colour, and Ivan Neville joining Cleto and the Cletones (Thursday); along with Tom Hanks and Spike Lee on Friday.

As reported by the network, the content from Brooklyn Week has amassed over 34.1 million views on the show’s YouTube channel.
