Serendipity awaits at every turn, capturing a fleeting moment of chaos demands a discerning eye. Since 2020, Pure Street Photography—an initiative dedicated to bridging photographers worldwide—has celebrated visual storytellers with an annual competition.
This year’s competition attracted an impressive array of 1,160 entries from 34 countries spanning five continents. Judged by the renowned British writer and curator David Campany alongside founder Dimpy Bhalotia, the panel selected 147 striking winning and finalist images.
From capturing ironically comedic moments just before calamity to illustrating charming scenes of spontaneity, the diverse winning images evoke a wide array of emotions. Together, they reflect the myriad feelings one might experience while strolling through the streets, encapsulating the true essence of the medium.
A large exhibition at Mumbai’s Jehangir Art Gallery will showcase each winning photograph in January 2026. Until then, explore the online gallery along with Pure Street Photography’s Instagram. For more captivating moments, don’t miss our coverage of the initiative’s previous competition.
