“Alex’s brand embodies a distinct British aesthetic, heavily influenced by heritage and prep style, with a focus on tailored silhouettes like smart suiting and classic shirting. She also introduces alluring sweaters that elevate these styles,” remarks Gayot. “While we share similar brand principles, her designs are slightly more avant-garde, fitting within the ready-to-wear category.” By blending unique elements from each label, the collaboration results in pieces that showcase timeless elegance with playful twists—imagine a vivacious Kelly green graphic T-shirt paired beautifully with tailored ensembles inspired by Savile Row.
Among the 33-piece collection, Eagle emphasizes that the must-have essentials for anyone building a capsule wardrobe are well represented. “The idea was to create a collection that would shine brightly when everything else is stripped away—pieces that remain versatile and timeless,” she shares with Vogue.
Versatility from work to weekend was a pivotal element in this collaboration, with standout items like the denim-on-denim ensemble catching both designers’ attention. “I adore the double denim look; it’s a fabulous all-year-round item, particularly in such a deep, rich wash,” Eagle articulates. “Collaboratively, we invested substantial effort into the fabric selection, vital for the identity of my label which revolves around distinctive textiles that are beautifully lined and crafted.” Gayot notes that experimenting with textiles and methods under Eagle’s discerning guidance was a highlight of the design experience, with small touches like tartan linings or coordinated top-stitching on jeans enhancing the garments’ individuality.

The collection also features standout pieces like a wool varsity jacket adorned with leather sleeves—an item Gayot claims will uplift even the most basic ensembles. She envisions wearing it with dark wash jeans and loafers during casual outings, or styling it over modern chinos with a reversible matching coat that boasts a tartan lining—a subtle nod to Eagle’s heritage. “There’s a cool factor when trying on her items that resonates with my personal style,” Gayot reflects. “Some classic pieces carry a slightly tomboyish or borrowed-from-the-boys essence, making them feel compelling and alluring on women, especially when donned in a more gender-fluid manner, which I find remarkable.”
Equal careful consideration has been given to accessories, like the high-cut pump that Gayot personally tested at a wedding in Italy, declaring them surprisingly comfortable, or the generously sized black tote inspired by Eagle’s nostalgic school bag from the ‘90s. It’s designed to accommodate everything needed while remaining as compact as possible.
