Fans are making significant efforts to have Bad Bunny replaced for the Super Bowl LX halftime performance, initiating a petition to swap him for country music icon George Strait!
Following the NFL’s confirmation that the King of Latin Trap will headline on February 8, 2026, multiple petitions have emerged, triggering widespread debate.
A faction of fans prefers to see 73-year-old Strait, a titan in country music, with over 1,000 supporters endorsing the Change.org petition.
The petition initiator Kar Shell shared her reasoning for favoring Strait over Bad Bunny, stating, “The Super Bowl halftime show should bring our nation together, celebrate American traditions, and remain family-centric, avoiding any political agendas.”
“Bad Bunny embodies none of these ideals; his drag performances and aesthetic contradict what families anticipate on the biggest day in football.”
The petition supporting Strait now has 1,355 signatures, while another Change listing focused on removing Bad Bunny has exceeded 10,000 signatures, though no specific replacement has been named.
Bad Bunny, who recently expressed concerns about touring in the U.S. due to potential ICE actions, addressed his critics during his “Saturday Night Live” monologue, saying those who don’t speak Spanish have âfour months to learn.â
