Manufacturers Village Artists (MVA) cordially invites art lovers and the community to attend their annual Fall Open House, taking place on Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19, from 12 PM to 5 PM at the Manufacturers Village, located at 356 Glenwood Avenue, East Orange, NJ. For more than 19 years, the talented group of over 65 artists at Manufacturers Village has opened their creative studio doors each fall.

This year’s Fall Open House will not only highlight the artistic talents of MVA’s resident creators but also showcase the captivating blend of historic industrial charm and modern art that makes Manufacturers Village a pivotal part of New Jersey’s art community.

Participants will have the chance to:

  • Meet the artists: Interact with painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramicists, and various other creators to gain insight into their creative journeys.
  • Discover diverse artworks: Explore a plethora of original art showcasing the myriad styles and mediums present among the Manufacturers Village artists.
  • Experience the studios: Navigate through the artists’ workspaces to witness the creative process up close within the historic mill buildings.
  • Purchase unique art: Acquire original, handcrafted pieces to enhance your collection or gift to loved ones.
  • Connect with fellow art enthusiasts: Engage with other art lovers and soak in the vibrant cultural essence of East Orange.
  • Enjoy local culinary delights: Relish delicious offerings from local food vendors.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to view the East Orange Community Black Lives Matter Mural, one of the largest murals in the state. This monumental 9,000 square-foot piece was crafted by a group of sixteen artists from the East Orange community in the spring of 2021.

Additionally, two Manufacturers Village artists, Tom Nussbaum and Christine Romanell, are currently featured at the nearby Montclair Art Museum. Take this opportunity to meet them and experience their artwork at Manufacturers Village, either before or after your visit to the museum!
