Santa Ana to Commemorate the Late Oscar Winner

Numerous celebrities have been paying their respects to Diane Keaton following her death, and now her hometown of Santa Ana, California, is joining in.
The Mayor of Santa Ana, Valerie Amezcua , informed TMZ that she plans to request a street topper near Santa Ana High School. Furthermore, she intends to conclude the upcoming city council meeting in honor of Keaton.

Keaton completed her education at Santa Ana High School in 1963 before relocating to New York, where she embarked on her illustrious career in the entertainment industry.
However, the city’s tribute does not end there. Santa Ana Council Member David Penaloza mentioned they have urged the mayor to illuminate the city’s famous water tower — visible to numerous motorists on the 5 Freeway — in honor of Keaton for the rest of the week.
This form of recognition has previously been extended to Prince and Kobe Bryant, both of whom were honored with purple lighting. The colors to commemorate Keaton have yet to be decided.
Regarding the possibility of a day being designated in her honor, Council Member Jessie Lopez explained to TMZ that there would be a formal procedure. A council member must submit a request, and they will need to identify who from Diane’s family or close friends would receive the proclamation in her name.

We reported earlier that the LAFD was dispatched to Keaton’s residence at approximately 8:08 AM on Saturday, and paramedics transported one individual — later confirmed to be Keaton — to a local hospital. Audio from the dispatch revealed responders referring to a “person down” at her address. She subsequently passed away.
