SPOILER WARNING: This recap contains spoilers from the Tuesday, Oct. 14 episode of “Dancing With the Stars.”
Season 34 of “Dancing With the Stars” reached peak emotion during dedication night, where each of the ten remaining couples took to the floor in tribute to someone significant in their lives — leading to heartfelt reunions throughout the evening. The night also welcomed back a familiar face as former pro Kym Johnson stepped in as a guest judge.
One of the standout performances came early in the night from Robert Irwin, who dedicated his contemporary dance to his mother, a pillar of strength after the loss of his father, Steve Irwin. The poignant routine moved everyone, including judge Derek Hough, to tears. Hough notably won “DWTS” alongside Robert’s sister, Bindi Irwin.
Elaine Hendrix, remembered for her role in “The Parent Trap,” performed a dance dedicated to her co-star Lisa Ann Walter. Dennis Quaid, who also starred in the beloved film, was present in the audience to support her.
Danielle Fishel dedicated her routine to Bill Daniels, who portrayed Mr. Feeny on “Boy Meets World” to her character, Topanga Lawrence. Supporters included her former co-stars, such as Will Friedle (Eric Matthews), Betsy Randle (Amy Matthews), William Russ (Alan Matthews), Trina McGee (Angela Moore), and more, who joined her on the dance floor.
The night concluded without any eliminations, surprising everyone involved. Dylan Efron and partner Daniella Karagach achieved the top spot on the leaderboard for the first time, while Andy Richter found himself at the bottom.
In a remarkable development, there were zero eliminations by the end of the evening! Additionally, the show broke records by garnering more than 50 million votes.
