Global entertainment powerhouse Fifth Season (“Severance,” “Friendship”) and esteemed production house Picturestart (“Together”) have solidified their collaboration with a renewed multi-year agreement.

As part of this deal, Fifth Season will offer business affairs, financial support, production capabilities, and strategic insights to Picturestart, with a focus on enhancing co-productions across film and television. Picturestart will maintain oversight of its diverse slate while senior production leaders Jessica Switch, Julia Hammer, and Emily Wissink finalize new contracts with the company. Erik Feig, founder of Picturestart and its chief investor, will continue as executive chairman.

“Reinforcing our partnership unites the strengths of both entities, enabling Picturestart’s talented creative team to leverage our expansive global network and resources,” remarked Fifth Season CEO Graham Taylor. (Fifth Season, previously known as Endeavor Content, has been a significant partner of Picturestart since its inception in 2019.)

“Picturestart has swiftly become one of the most dynamic production companies in the field, and we’ve long admired its creative endeavors,” Taylor added. “This new chapter positions them to share their daring narratives with a wider audience, all while nurturing talent through various stages of their careers. I eagerly anticipate achieving remarkable milestones together with Erik and the incredible Picturestart team.”

Feig expressed: “I am immensely proud of our achievements at Picturestart over the past six years, thanks to our partners and creative allies. I have profound respect for the amazing team, especially Julia, Jessica, and Emily, who have proven themselves as outstanding producers and executives. I am confident they will continue to excel leading Picturestart as we embark on this exciting new journey with our friends at Fifth Season.”

Picturestart’s latest project, the horror film “Together,” starring Dave Franco and Alison Brie, was among the most successful sales at Sundance. Upcoming projects include “4 Kids Walk into a Bank,” featuring Liam Neeson, Talia Ryder, and Whitney Peak, scheduled for theatrical release via Amazon MGM Studios in August 2026; “Yeti,” directed by Michael Chaves; “The Masque of the Red Death,” featuring Mikey Madison, for A24; and “The Nowhere Game,” starring Mckenna Grace and Kiernan Shipka. Additionally, a live-action Bratz film in collaboration with Amazon MGM and Kim Kardashian, along with the animated adaptation of the “Twilight Saga” titled Midnight Sun for Netflix, are on the horizon.

Fifth Season has recently produced films such as “Friendship,” “80 for Brady,” “Book Club,” and “The Lost Daughter,” along with critically acclaimed series like “Severance,” “Nine Perfect Strangers,” and “Tokyo Vice.” Their current and upcoming series roster includes “Chief of War,” led by Jason Momoa for Apple TV+; Matthew Heineman’s “The Savant,” featuring Jessica Chastain for Apple TV+; and Netflix’s “East of Eden,” adapting John Steinbeck’s work with stars Florence Pugh and Mike Faist. Other titles include “The Good Daughter,” based on Karin Slaughter’s novel with Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy, and “His & Hers,” featuring Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal, adapted from Alice Feeney’s bestseller.
