The Daily Caller recently covered a thought-provoking remark from Democratic strategist James Carville:
‘He Did It’: Carville Acknowledges Trump’s Role in Israel-Hamas Peace Agreement
During an episode of “Politics War Room” on Wednesday, James Carville argued that former President Donald Trump merits recognition for facilitating a peace arrangement between Israel and Hamas.
This agreement, reached under Trump’s administration, saw the return of all living hostages taken during Hamas’s assault on Israel on October 7, 2023. Carville pointed out that this significant achievement is one that previous administrations had struggled to accomplish.
“[S]top this, bringing these hostages back… You can speculate on the sustainability of the peace, but let’s be frank: he did it. And he deserves some credit for it,” Carville stated. “They just do… Consider the praise that [former President] Jimmy Carter received for Camp David and what [former President] George H.W. Bush garnered when the Berlin Wall fell.”
“They’re enjoying a valid moment of recognition, and that’s perfectly acceptable. We’ll see if the peace holds,” he continued. “But I have no qualms about asserting that they achieved something that others have not.”

NEW: James Carville says Trump “DESERVES SOME CREDIT” for Israel-Hamas Peace Deal
“He did it. And he deserves some credit for it… they’re having a legitimate kind of moment in the sun — and that’s fine.”

The Democratic Party has thus far been reticent to fully acknowledge the seismic implications of Trump’s achievements in this context. What has unfolded is not only historic; it has monumental political ramifications.
By positioning himself as a surprising catalyst for peace, Trump has, against the odds, donned the mantle of a global peacemaker. It hardly matters if opponents continue to withhold the full extent of credit he might deserve; the general public is now aware of the events that transpired, recognizing that these outcomes were improbable without Trump’s involvement.
