In Season 2 of The Golden Bachelor, Mel Owens has narrowed down his choices to three final contestants.
The 66-year-old former NFL player, who transitioned into law and reality television, presented three roses during the episode airing on Wednesday, October 15, giving Peg, Debbie, and Cindy special hometown date opportunities.
“Your families are your biggest allies and always have your best interests in mind,” Mel expressed to the six women remaining before the rose ceremony. “So if you receive a rose, we’ll be spending substantial and meaningful time together. I consider this decision seriously because it matters to me, and I hold each of you in high regard.”
At the conclusion of Wednesday’s ceremony, Mel bid farewell to Cheryl, who indicated she was developing feelings for him, and Nicolle, known as the controversial villain of the season who ambitiously suggested she could be the Golden Bachelorette on her way out. Carol chose to leave voluntarily earlier in the episode after realizing Mel was not her ideal match.
