A tragic incident occurred in Milan where an Italian model was discovered deceased on her balcony after being allegedly stabbed over 20 times … according to local news outlets.
Pamela Genini lost her life on Tuesday, with reports from il Fatto Quotidiano revealing that neighbors attempted to enter her apartment after hearing her cries for help.
Reports indicate that Genini sustained 24 stab wounds to her neck, back, and arms … and upon arrival, police found 52-year-old Gianluca Soncin situated over her body.
Soncin allegedly inflicted two self-stab wounds to his neck while officers attempted to arrest him, but he survived and is currently recovering in a hospital. He has decided to exercise his right to remain silent.
According to reports, Genini was speaking on the phone with another ex-boyfriend when she entered her apartment and discovered Soncin there … prompting a swift police response. Prosecutors claim that Soncin had obtained a “copy of the house keys” to access the residence.
Pamela hailed from Bergamo … and reportedly shared a brief relationship with Soncin — though they were experiencing tensions in their relationship, as noted by the newspaper.
Prosecutors are believed to be citing aggravating factors including premeditation and stalking in their request to have Soncin held in custody.
Genini was just 29 years old.
