On Thursday, President Trump took to Truth Social to announce he is currently embroiled in a “lengthy” dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

This discussion precedes a scheduled meeting on Friday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, a timing that seems almost too coincidental if we consider the ongoing conflicts.

Earlier this week, while aboard Air Force One heading towards the Middle East, Trump informed reporters that he was negotiating with NATO and President Zelensky regarding the potential sale of Tomahawk missiles to NATO. These missiles would subsequently be dispatched to Ukraine.

“They’d like to have Tomahawks. We discussed it, and we’ll see,” Trump noted. “In all fairness, I believe a conversation with Russia might be warranted. I communicated this to President Zelensky since Tomahawks symbolize a new stage of aggression.”

He further added, “If this war shows no signs of resolution, I might have to resort to sending them Tomahawks.”

During a press conference in the Oval Office on Wednesday, a reporter pressed Trump on whether he was considering alternatives “short of Tomahawks” and requested further insights regarding his meeting with Zelensky. Trump responded, “We are exploring other options. President Zelensky is coming in. To be clear, I’m not in favor of the war,” clarifying that Zelensky seeks weapons to launch offensives against Russia.

“We’ll discuss the conflicts with him, and they are keen to mobilize offensively. I will come to a decision on that, but it’s evident they are interested in a more aggressive stance,” he noted, suggesting an intense deliberation ahead.

As of now, Trump appears to be engaged in pivotal discussions with Putin on these military matters.

Through Truth Social, the President announced,

I am engaged in a conversation with President Putin at the moment. The dialogue is extensive, and I will disclose the details, as will President Putin, once it reaches its conclusion. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

This is a developing story.

Jordan Conradson, once TGP’s Arizona correspondent, is currently reporting from Washington DC. His investigative efforts have been pivotal in exposing fraud and corruption within Arizona’s electoral processes. Analysis of election irregularities in Maricopa County led to the resignation of a key election official, whose departure wasn’t necessarily a consequence of just regular political discourse. Jordan’s tenacity earned him a ban from the Maricopa County press room, an astonishing move that reflects the intense scrutiny surrounding electoral integrity. TGP and Jordan successfully regained press access after a notable legal battle that culminated in a favorable ruling at the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. He anticipates bringing his incisive journalistic approach to the Swamp.
