Rosie O’Donnell is reaching out for support and prayers after her daughter, Chelsea, was sentenced to prison for violating her probation in a drug case. Chelsea, 28, has had a difficult journey due to being born into addiction, and Rosie expressed her compassion for those struggling with addiction. She emphasized that Chelsea and her children need love and support during these challenging times, and she asked for prayers from the public.

Court records show that a Wisconsin judge determined Chelsea had violated her probation on October 22. The violation stemmed from sexual assault allegations, although further details were not disclosed. Additionally, officials stated that Chelsea had not shown progress in her treatment program, leading to the decision to terminate her from the Marinette County Treatment Drug Court Program.

On October 27, it was confirmed that Chelsea had been in custody since September 9 and was sentenced to prison. She is set to be transferred to the Taycheedah Correctional Institution, a medium-security prison in Wisconsin. Despite this confirmation, the specifics of her sentence were not disclosed.

In January 2025, Chelsea was sentenced to six years of probation following three consecutive arrests related to drug possession and neglect. As part of a plea deal, she agreed to certain charges and had others dropped, resulting in a stayed 18-month prison sentence. The court mandated strict compliance with the treatment drug court program, including sobriety and abstaining from alcohol and controlled substances.

Leading up to her prison sentence, Chelsea faced various legal issues, including brief stints in jail for violating court rules and medication violations. Despite making some progress, she encountered setbacks, such as dishonesty and being sent back to an earlier phase of her treatment program. Ultimately, her repeated infractions led to the decision for her to serve time behind bars.

Chelsea’s journey highlights the challenges of battling addiction and the importance of support and guidance in overcoming such struggles. Rosie’s plea for prayers underscores the need for compassion and understanding in dealing with such difficult circumstances.
