Meghan Markle Accused of Using Royal Family Marketing as Ever

The controversy surrounding Meghan Markle’s As Ever brand continues to grow, with a prominent chef criticizing the Duchess of Sussex for allegedly exploiting her royal connections to market luxury products. The chef, known for his own line of sauces, has accused Markle of engaging in a cynical money-making scheme.

“Let’s be honest, she’ll turn anything into a luxury wellness product if she can make a huge mark on it. From overpriced tea to honey — next, she’ll be selling Californian air in a jar,” the chef remarked, expressing his disdain for Markle’s business practices.

Markle recently unveiled her first As Ever holiday collection, which includes exorbitantly priced items such as $62 honey, $63 candles, and a $42 fruit spread set. The chef suggested that Markle’s target market consists of affluent consumers in regions like Napa Valley or California who are willing to pay premium prices for her branded products.

However, the chef raised concerns about the disconnect between Markle’s luxurious offerings and the financial realities faced by many consumers. He pointed out that for most people, prioritizing essentials such as baby food, heating, and work expenses takes precedence over indulging in pricey items like a £30 ‘everyday’ bottle of wine bearing Markle’s name.

As the debate over Markle’s business ventures continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how her royal affiliations will impact the success and reception of her As Ever brand.
