Chase Briscoe, the talented driver from Joe Gibbs Racing, recently shared some interesting insights in an interview with FOX Sports before the Championship 4 race. Briscoe revealed that even if he were to win the 2025 Cup Series championship, he has no plans of indulging in alcohol consumption.

Having previously raced for Stewart-Haas Racing for four years, Briscoe had envisioned retiring while driving the #14 Ford for the team. However, circumstances changed when SHR sold its charters and Briscoe had to part ways with the team. Despite this setback, Briscoe still participated in the team’s final beer toast, although he chose not to drink.

It’s worth noting that Briscoe has made a personal choice to abstain from alcohol, and he remains steadfast in his decision. During the interview, he recounted a conversation with his wife, Marissa, and friends who urged him to celebrate with champagne if he were to clinch the championship title this season. However, Briscoe reiterated his stance on not letting external factors change his beliefs.

As Briscoe gears up to compete in the Championship 4 race at Phoenix against his JGR teammate Denny Hamlin and Hendrick Motorsports drivers Kyle Larson and William Byron, his focus remains on the track and achieving success without compromising his principles.

In a separate interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Ch. 90, Joe Gibbs shed light on the decision to bring Briscoe onboard as the replacement for Martin Truex Jr. in the #19 Toyota for the 2025 Cup Series season. Gibbs emphasized Briscoe’s potential and how he aligned with the team’s vision and sponsors, particularly due to his interests in fishing and hunting.

Briscoe’s performance this season has been impressive, leading the Cup Series points table with three wins, 19 top tens, 15 top fives, and seven pole positions in 35 starts. Gibbs expressed optimism about the #19 team’s speed and potential for future success with Briscoe behind the wheel.

As the season progresses, fans can expect to see Briscoe continue to showcase his skills and determination on the track, solidifying his place as a rising star in the NASCAR scene. With a strong support system at Joe Gibbs Racing and a clear focus on his goals, Briscoe is poised to make a lasting impact in the sport.
