The wrestling world is abuzz with rumors of The Rock’s potential return as his Final Boss character. The iconic WWE Superstar last appeared during Elimination Chamber 2025 when he shocked fans by turning heel and aligning with John Cena. Since then, The Rock has been absent from the ring, leaving fans wondering if they have seen the last of his menacing persona.

Recently, Cody Rhodes spoke highly of The Rock’s Final Boss character on the All The Smoke podcast, hinting at a possible comeback. Rhodes praised The Great One for creating such a unique and captivating character, claiming that there is still much more to explore with the Final Boss gimmick. He suggested that The Rock’s return could be on the horizon, much to the excitement of wrestling fans everywhere.

Rhodes himself has been making waves in the WWE, recently defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The 40-year-old emerged victorious after delivering a devastating DDT followed by his signature Cross Rhodes finisher. With his title reign secure, Rhodes is now looking towards the future and contemplating his own retirement from in-ring competition.

During the podcast, Rhodes revealed that he plans to retire after his next contract with WWE. As he acknowledges his age and the toll that wrestling takes on his body, Rhodes wants to ensure that he leaves the ring on his own terms and in good health. He expressed gratitude towards WWE for the opportunities they have provided him and the platform they have given him to showcase his talent.
