Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard’s Parenting Style Sparks Controversy

The controversial clip of Bell discussing her kids drinking nonalcoholic beer has sparked talk about the couple’s openness when it comes to raising their daughters.

Shepard and Bell recently stunned fans when they admitted on The Armchair Expert podcast that their daughters are allowed to “talk back” to their parents, or “anybody” for that matter.

During the podcast, Shepard’s friend mentioned that their kids “let it rip,” to which Shepard agreed, acknowledging that his daughters can be disrespectful at times. Despite this, he emphasized the importance of teaching them to advocate for themselves and stand up for what they believe in.

Shepard expressed that he is willing to tolerate the so-called unruly behavior in order to instill confidence and assertiveness in his daughters, especially as they navigate adulthood.

This discussion on parenting methods comes in the wake of a controversial Instagram post by Bell commemorating the couple’s 12th wedding anniversary.

Shocking fans with her sense of humor, Bell wrote, “Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: ‘I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.'”
