Celebrating the Spirit of Entrepreneurship
In the spirit of National Entrepreneurship Month, we take a moment to honor the architects of our economy—the visionaries who transform aspirations into tangible actions, generating jobs that fortify families and communities across the United States. Entrepreneurs have historically been the lifeblood of our nation, fueling our unmatched competitive edge. Their unwavering belief in a brighter tomorrow propels them forward, and my Administration stands firmly beside them, championing their aspirations for a better future.
Breaking Down Barriers to Innovation
For far too long, a tangled web of excessive regulations, oppressive taxes, and unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles has obstructed the path for innovators. Rather than channeling their energies into groundbreaking creativity, entrepreneurs have found themselves ensnared in compliance labyrinths, leaving countless transformative ideas unrealized. Under my leadership, the burdens of bureaucracy will be lifted, restoring the freedom necessary for American ingenuity to flourish.
Empowering the American Enterprise
My Administration is unleashing the potential of American entrepreneurship like never before. For every new regulation introduced, we will eliminate ten others, liberating entrepreneurs from the shackles of incessant red tape. We are reinstating immediate expensing for business research and development, while also fostering innovation in cutting-edge fields such as cryptocurrency and blockchain—essential tools that equip entrepreneurs to compete effectively. Additionally, we are preserving the 199A small business deduction, a measure that is already generating billions in economic growth and has created over a million jobs in local communities.
Creating a New Era of Manufacturing
Now is the prime time to establish new American factories, invest in our towns, expand research initiatives, and provide our innovators with the resources they need to thrive. Through the Made in America Manufacturing Initiative, we are slashing $100 billion in unnecessary regulations and reinforcing protective tariffs to shield our industries from unfair foreign competition and deceptive practices that jeopardize both our economic and national security. This represents a Golden Age for American entrepreneurship—one that will ensure our country remains a formidable force for prosperity and wealth on the global stage.
The Impact of Entrepreneurship on the Economy
Currently, 34 million entrepreneurial ventures account for over 40% of America’s economic activity and are responsible for creating two-thirds of new private sector jobs. When our most brilliant minds are given the freedom to innovate, the entire nation is ignited with creativity. This month, we reaffirm our dedication to the visionary entrepreneurs who dream audaciously, build courageously, and embody the spirit that has made America a powerhouse of economic and industrial prowess in history.
