Industry partners to showcase permitting technologies at the Permitting Innovators Expo.
The Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) has revealed the innovators selected to present their technology solutions at the first-ever Permitting Innovators Expo, scheduled for July 31 in the Washington, D.C. area.
In response to President Trump’s directive to modernize permitting technology for the 21st century, CEQ called on industry partners to propose solutions that could enhance and expedite federal environmental reviews and permitting processes. A panel of experienced professionals evaluated the submissions based on CEQ’s evaluation criteria, focusing on their potential to address significant technology gaps identified in the Permitting Technology Action Plan. The evaluations were reviewed by CEQ before final selections were made.
The chosen technology solutions offer a variety of methods to enhance federal permitting, including tools for document analysis, workflow management, data access and integration, and automation of routine tasks.
At the Permitting Innovators Expo on July 31, the innovators will present their technology solutions to federal agencies and industry leaders involved in modernizing environmental review and permitting. Those interested in attending the Permitting Innovators Expo can submit an interest form.
Furthermore, CEQ plans to feature these technology solutions in the Permitting Innovators Solutions Catalog, which is set to be distributed to federal agencies in late 2026.
